OUR DIGITAL MARKETING APPROACH
At Sprout Performance we know how to make the digital media mix work as a team together, outperforming the sum of the individual channels. We believe and have proven that every channel in the mix has its own purpose, with linked KPI's, and should be utilised and its performance assessed accordingly.
See it as a rugby team: the team's objective is to score more tries than the opposition. Very much in line with the ambition that your campaign delivers leads or sales. However, this does not mean that each channel is geared to drive leads or sales. Some generate awareness or fulfill an information need, that eventually leads to interest and action. Similar to locks and props on the rugby field are there to deliver a scrum and tackle in order to allow the wing to score.

Stijn is the driver of collaboration at Sprout Performance. With more than a decade of experience in the advertising industry, both on a publisher side and from an agency perspective, Stijn has a wealth of digital knowledge to share with the Sprout Performance team. Before taking on his current position, he began his journey at Sprout Performance in 2011 as Director of Commercial and Client Services, with a special focus on performance marketing and performance media. Stijn is a devoted family man and an avid cyclist.

Micha is our technology expert. The experience he has gained over a decade in the industry has given him the skills to run a successful department at Sprout Performance. Each of Sprout’s departments rely heavily on industry trends, new technology and on building successful campaigns. Our CTIO Micha is the driving force that keeps us abreast of the latest trends, opportunities, and challenges in the digital industry.
ULRIKE DU TOIT
With over a decade’s experience, Ulrike’s skill set is one of the most diverse at Sprout Performance. Her impeccable leadership and intuitive overview of operations have shaped the team’s productivity and work ethic. Ulrike shows great compassion and understanding toward each individual in her role as the Operations Director. She is meticulous and precise when it comes to her work, although she’s excellent at using her humour to break the ice or keep things light when under pressure.
Charl is our Big Data guy. His responsibilities include pulling real-time data from websites and scripting automation to producing meaningful reports. His work gives the Sprout Performance team valuable insights into trends and opportunities in the digital marketing world. Charl’s knowledge about cars is unrivalled, and he can confidently talk about any topic from general world history to collectors’ Nintendo cartridges.
Netanel is an experienced Digital Media Strategist with a demonstrated history of working in the marketing and advertising industry. This year he came on board the Sprout Team in JHB to facilitate brand objectives based on consumer insights and data in an outstanding manner. He has a great love for all things digital and football but has a greater love as a family man and father to two boys.
INGRID VAN ZYL
You’ll find Ingrid all over the office with her high bun hairstyle and her awesome sense of style. Her ability to communicate, plan and manage the workflow of the office is impeccable. She is always there to give a helping hand and problem shoot any issue you might have. Her chilled disposition makes working with Ingrid a pleasure.
Sprout Performance’s Financial Manager Eugenia – known as Gina – is nothing short of a genius in her field.
The passion and drive she has for her role show in her work; even when tensions are high and stress levels increase, you will find Gina behind her computer working away with a smile on her face.
Nosipho has been a numbers fanatic since the moment she was introduced to the Finance Department at Sprout Performance. Initially joining us as an intern, ‘Nosi’ has adjusted well and shown great potential, and has since been appointed to our full-time staff. She is often seen moving around the office, busy making the numbers more understandable for her colleagues.
Caroline, the sweetheart. Her big heart and humbleness will win you over in no time. Her love for her work is made clear through her excellent work ethic, extensive knowledge and determined drive. Caroline’s commitment to her work is admirable and she can always be found at her desk working away – some might even say she’s a workaholic!
Carla has a love and passion for digital marketing. Her interest in communication, marketing, media and advertising has developed into the vital ability to identify key needs for the brands she works with. Carla recognises marketing opportunities not only for her clients but also for her personal brand as a vlogger.
Emma cut her teeth working in some of Jozi’s digital agencies groups Account and Project Management position. 4 years ago, Emma decided to move to the Mother City to raise her then newborn and work part time in the digital publishing space. Emma kick-started her full-time career this year with us as Digital Account Manager, but do not be fooled by her quiet, unassuming demure for behind it, is a fun loving, determined individual who will always do whatever it takes to get what needs to be done, and done right!
Stuart is a solution-based thinker and a team player with a methodical and hands-on approach. He is always positive, motivated and has a quirky way of looking at things. Stuart understands that account management is effectively the bridge that keeps the client/agency wheels turning and requires strategic thought, assessment, and the know-how of getting things done. Without these, the bridge will likely have roadworks – and no one likes those. Above all else, Stuart has a fire in his belly to make things happen. He can talk the talk and, more importantly, walk the walk.
Regina is an extremely bright and hard-working individual. She recently finished her studies as a media practitioner with a major in advertising. She joined our client service department to further her education and gain knowledge of digital marketing and performance. Regina as a quest to learn more and grow her career in digital. If she is not at her desk, she is assisting our management at event and it’s “all for the learning experience”.
Cullinan is Sprout’s own superhero; there’s no problem too big that “Mr Don” can’t fix. As an HR and Admin specialist, he has the unique ability to stay calm in all the chaotic situations that we are often faced with. Cullinan holds a Diploma in Office Management and Technology from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT).
There isn’t anything Kara can’t do. Her outstanding organisational skills allow her to guide and motivate her team while sharing her wealth of digital knowledge. Kara has taken charge of planning numerous office events in addition to her current position, all of which have been great successes.
Casey’s keen eye for detail ensures he always delivers work to impeccable standards. He works as hard as he plays: if Casey isn’t in the office producing great work as one of Sprout Performance’s Display Campaign Managers, he’s producing his own hits as a DJ.
Wynand initially started out as a programmer. It was when he saw the digital industry’s rapid evolution that he decided to venture out into digital marketing, and he hasn’t looked back since. A truly impressive campaign manager, Wynand believes that experimenting with new strategies and learning from opportunities and challenges are vital to being successful in this fast-paced industry.
Jeremy started his digital career more than a decade ago building websites, before moving into consulting and technical support roles at publisher consultancies. He has also worked for some of South Africa’s largest publishers and SSP’s from a channel relationships perspective with leading technology vendors including Google, ADTECH and AppNexus. When Jeremy is not researching digital trends, new technologies and best practices, you’ll find him researching a good bottle of red in the Cape Winelands or enjoying a hike in the surrounding mountains.
Linden is incredible at his position within the Search team. As Sprout Performance’s office comedian, Linden’s fun personality and jokes always succeed in lifting his colleagues’ spirits. But don’t let his humour fool you: Linden might be the funny guy, but he’s serious about delivering results for his clients, and he works extremely hard to do so.
Starting off as an intern at Sprout Performance, Unathi’s positivity, willingness to learn, and her quick understanding of working within the Search Department made it a no-brainer to offer her a permanent position. She continues to shine and show eagerness to learn, experience and gain knowledge that will surely lead to a successful career in digital marketing.
SEO is what Rory knows best. With a background working both in-house and agency side, he has always had one goal in mind: meeting business objectives. His approach to every task stems from his favourite Albert Einstein quote: “Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is to not stop questioning.”
Nur is a creative and analytical person, which is why Search Engine Optimization is his calling. With his love for client strategies that are detailed with a touch of creativity, Nur devotes himself to constantly developing his skills in digital marketing as the industry expands. When he is not in the office, Nur assists underprivileged kids with a positive mindset and teaches basic marketing skills to help provide opportunities in the digital industry.
Our Google Web Design champion Courtney is a brilliant digital designer. Her work speaks for itself: a keen eye for detail and a love for all things creative ensure Courtney’s designs are always crafted to perfection. When she’s not working on a design, she researches courses and other platforms to improve her craft.
